These past two years with the PawPrint have been one of the best experiences and opportunities of my life so far; despite it only encompassing two years for me, I can not even begin to imagine what my time in high school would be like without the newspaper.
So my time as both the senior editor and a staff writer comes to an end. I want to take a moment to thank everybody I have met through this class.
To our current writers, photographers and editors,
It has been such a pleasure working with you all, and I really could not ask for a better team to be a part of. Despite our small crew of just five students we have accomplished so much and I couldn’t be more proud of you all.
To Holly Hill and Levi White who will be commandeering our paper next year as Senior Editor and Assistant Senior Editor respectively,
I wish you both the best. I was fortunate enough to be Senior Editor with such a small class size and knowing that the amount of students enrolled in the newspaper has practically doubled is both exciting and surely a daunting task for you two.
Not only are you guys some of the best writers I know, you are also some of the best people I know. I trust you guys to take the publication to even greater heights and academic prestige. That being said you both are also just funny in general and made the class truly special.
And lastly to any upcoming staff that happen to stumble upon this,
I hope you guys will grow to love this publication just as much as I have. And whether or not you all decide to continue with the class after your first year, I hope you will all have something great to be able to take away from this experience. Being a part of this publication is not only something that can improve your academic and social skills, it’s also something that you will be able to take away from your own high school experience.
I wish you all a great 2025-2026, and thank you all so much for being a part of my high school journey. I cannot wait to see how this publication evolves and how students’ voices will continue to be amplified from this point forward.
