Levi White is a senior at Edmond North.
Levi has been a part of the ENHS wrestling team all four years of high school.
“I joined the wrestling team because a few of my buddies. I originally wanted to try football, but my newfound friends all did wrestling so I decided to take that path,” said Levi.
Levi has always felt at home on the team, reflecting, “The team is like a family. Everyone has their ups and downs, but for the wrestling team, they were always for you.”
He has also felt transformed by the community of the team.
“My coaches taught me so much about the sport, but they also taught me a lot about myself too. They taught discipline and resilience. They made the sport much bigger than just wrestling to me,” said Levi.
Outside of wrestling, Levi is an integral part of the ENHS Pawprint Newspaper. As assistant editor of the award-winning publication, Levi represents what it means to be a strong leader.
“My favorite part about being an assistant editor is that I got to work with all the staff writers and help grow their writing.
In addition to winning his own awards for writing, Levi has also helped other staff members refine their work.
“It was nice to see the team win awards at Spring Media Day.”
Levi will attend Southwestern Oklahoma State University in the fall as a pharmacy major, and he is keeping his job options open for the future.
“I haven’t really figured out what I want to do with pharmacy yet. The job choices that interest me right now are a pediatrician pharmacist or radiation pharmacist,” said Levi.
Levi’s legacy at Edmond North as an athlete, writer and leader has had a positive impact on the school community and we can’t wait to see what he accomplishes in the future.
