This isn’t just a cringe anime movie… “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” is a visual feast, a rollercoaster of emotions and a movie that you’ll remember.
This new film by Ufotable Studios has taken the anime community by storm. The movie has been in production for three and a half years—however the lengthy time they took to make it is entirely justified.
The story of “Demon Slayer” follows a teenage boy’s sister who was turned into a demon by the demon lord, Muzan Kibutsuji. The boy, Tanjiro Kamado, is on a journey to cure his sister and defeat Kibutsuji. The new “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” is one of the three movies that will be the finale of the manga’s show. This movie features the beginning of the end of what the story has to offer.
All of the hashira—highly ranked demon slayers—had just been transported to the Infinity Castle. The Infinity Castle is a pocket dimension where the demons in the show reside. In an all out attempt to defeat the demon lord, the hashira are all battling the demons and upper moons (the strongest of the demons), to reach Kibutsuji.

The voice acting in “Demon Slayer” was phenomenal. I personally watched the movie in Japanese with English subtitles, and I feel like it added a personal touch to the characters. Since the show is made by a Japanese studio, the animation was more catered to the Japanese voice actors.
Whether you choose to watch the new movie in English or Japanese, the voice acting is phenomenal and will really resonate with the story.
Another beautiful thing about the “Demon Slayer” was the animation. The movie effectively used the traditional 2D animation style that fans are familiar with, but they also incorporated 3D animation with the use of computer generated CGI.
A lot of animation studios have tried to use CGI with 2D animation, but no studio has come close to the visuals that Ufotable was able to produce. The movie’s animation was some of the best in the anime industry, even better than non-anime studios like Disney or Warner Bros. Sony Pictures took this film to the next level. A big studio like Sony pairing with an animation studio like Ufotable gives them far more resources for such an ambitious project.
The battle scenes were thrilling; however, they included many more flashbacks scenes of the characters’ backstories. I didn’t mind this factor because it balanced the intensity with emotional connection.
Whether it was demons or slayers, the flashbacks made each character authentic and developed the story in a meaningful way.
My overall take is that the movie was perfect for “Demon Slayer” fans, but even people not as familiar with the series could still find beauty and enjoyment in it.
The movie is Rated-R, so enjoy your popcorn and movie theater experience with your parent’s permission.
If you enjoyed the film, let us know your thoughts!

That’s a lot of work going into an anime movie. It just shows how much they care about “Demon Slayer.” They absolutely crushed the animation. I love that they balanced the crazy action with emotional flashbacks. Gotta go watch this thing. Thank you for this amazing article.

I never thought to consider watching Demon Slayer but this article makes me want to check it out! Three and a half years is a long time which means this movie must be very detailed and well thought out. It’s also neat how Sony collaborated with Ufotable because it gives Ufotable more tools and creates a bigger name for them. I like how the author persuades you into watching this movie by saying how thrilling and exciting it is. The author also provides lots of information on the backstory of Demon Slayer! I will definitely have to watch this movie!

This article truly piqued my interest in this movie. I enjoyed how the article gives commentary and explains details about the animation in the film. The fact that the animation of the film incorporates traditional 2D animation and new CGI technology is very interesting. I also enjoyed the commentary on the battle scenes and the emotion used in them. I am so excited to see this movie with my newfound insights from this article.

I can’t wait to see “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” because the article makes it sound really interesting. The part about Ufotable making the animation even better than Disney is actually insane, which makes the three-and-a-half-year production time make sense. I also think it’s cool that the intense battles are balanced with character flashbacks, because that definitely makes the story hit harder. Even though I usually watch dubs, the Japanese voice acting sounds like it adds a really personal touch to the whole cinematic experience. If the movie is as much of a visual art as you say, I feel like it’s going to be a great anime finale.

This movie sounds so interesting. The action sounds like it would keep you on the edge of your seat. I wonder if it is anything like K-Pop Demon Hunters. I bet the animation is similar. I loved K-Pop Demon Hunters, so I bet I would love this!

They are a little different in stories, but you’re sure to get the same kick out of the movie as you did from your show!

I’ve never watched this movie, but after reading this, I will definitely be watching it. It sounds really entertaining, and the concept sounds cool. I love watching movies with good animations, so I’m excited to see how they look. I recently watched K-pop Demon Hunters, which sounds like it has a similar storyline, and I loved it. Overall, I thought this was very entertaining to read about and definitely convinced me to watch Demon Slayers!
