Prom is a day for you to remember; everyone comes together, takes their photos, eats a grand meal and dances their hearts away. We’ve compiled a list of some of the nicest places where you can capture the night so take up your cameras and throw on your prom attire because these places are the BOMB.
Myriad Gardens
The Myriad Gardens is the perfect place to take photos because of all of its serene environment. The tulips are blooming and they are a perfect, colorful backdrop that can make anyone’s pictures more vibrant. There are also many different landscapes to choose from at the Myriad Gardens like the stone staircases, the carousel or the many landmarks spread out throughout the gardens. In case of rain, the Devon Tower is across the street and has a beautiful interior for a last minute spot.
OKC Wheeler District
The OKC Wheeler District is an amazing spot for pictures. Not only is the ferris wheel a fun spot to take photos and get the big wheel in the background, but there is also the Wheeler District directly behind the ferris wheel. The district has a small but beautiful atmosphere that is filled with beautiful architecture and fancy little shops; which makes it perfect for a downtown photo shoot.
Lake Hefner
The lake is always a good choice for a pleasant time, and what better place than Lake Hefner. The surrounding water is sure to give your photos the sparkle they need to outshine other people’s, and the lake has little landmarks for you to set up like the lighthouse. What’s even better is that after you finish getting pictures taken, there are restaurants like Mama Rojas and Redrock Canyon Grill along the lake where you or your group can get a fancy meal before the dance.
Will Rogers Garden
Similar to the Myriad Gardens is Will Rogers Garden. With its natural landscape of trees and creeks, the gardens set up an array of picture spots. You can take photos by its flower beds or on the many bridges that reside within. The floral-rich grounds provide a touch of light to the moments.
Paseo District
The Paseo District is a culturally vibrant community that is great for taking photos. The district has colorful murals and funky architecture that are sure to give you some pizazz. There are a number of delicious restaurants in the area as well, so this is the perfect pre-prom place you could be!
