Highschool has a lot to offer, but not many students are aware of all the fun and exciting things happening on campus outside of the classroom. Check out these awesome clubs showcased last week to see if you’ve found your next big interest!
Academic Team
For students who want to show off their knowledge in a wide range of topics, this club is for you! Academic team leads multiple team-based trivia-style competitions, from math and science to literature and pop culture. If testing your knowledge and working together with a team to accomplish great things is your style, seek out Mr. Dewitt to find out more.
Huskies for Equality
Huskies for Equality is Edmond North’s club for social justice, where students can discuss and learn about different issues of political interest and get involved in activities they care about. Founded by Supriya Kohli to fill the gap between the different groups within the student body, Huskies for Equality aims to give students a platform to raise awareness and engagement and to have an eye opening experience.
Speech and Debate
Speech and Debate is a club dedicated to expanding the abilities and skills of those interested in public speaking or argument. Within a close-knit environment, students can expect to work together to form powerful performances within the many categories of contest. Further, many scholarships and college preparatory experiences are made available when joining. If this competitive environment sounds fun to you, seek out Ms. Madron to get started!

Event Broadcasting
Event Broadcasting works together with both the Newspaper and the Yearbook to record and broadcast all the important events going on around campus. Students here gain experience working with high quality technical equipment and the work behind taking the physical and putting it online for everyone to see. Spanish Club
The Spanish club seeks to widen the cultural experiences of our school in the hispanophone world. Through community-based activities and growth opportunities, the Spanish club gives every student the chance to learn more about the Spanish speaking world around them and within our doors. If you have ever been interested in learning more about the language or culture, whether total outsider or hispanic in heritage, consider joining right away! Reach out to Ms. Campuzano to join.

This is my third year in Spanish Club; I wanted to join to grow my Spanish and share that love with others. I am currently the President of Spanish Club, actually my second year being so. Robotics
If playing with robots, learning about mechanical design, teamwork, and challenging yourself in unique competition sounds interesting to you, then you may want to think about joining the Robotics Club. Here, you could expect to build technical and mechanical skills to compete in STEM competitions around and the state and beyond, while also learning the value in dedication and teamwork. Black Student Union
The BSU is a community of Black students and those in support of the union who meet to discuss and collaborate on diverse and complicated topics. Activities are meant to build stronger ties within the greater community and to uplift the voices and talent of Black students throughout campus. DECA
DECA is an international student organization committed to prepare emerging leader in the fields of management, hospitality, leadership, and entrepreneurship through community-based work and competitive conferences held regularly throughout the school year. The organization also runs throughout the school as well, organizing the North Shore Student Store and other fiscal activities, allowing for a real applicable experience for students both in and outside of campus. AFJROTC
JROTC is an organization for dedicated and passionate students to explore roles of leadership, self-reliance, discipline, and citizenry. Students are involved with education in the field of the military and can become decorated should they continue to search for a career within the military.
